I am a lifelong lover of antiques, having started collecting in high school after my parents introduced me to this wonderful era of furniture, household goods, and collectibles. Over the years, I collected more and more, all while sharing the love of this art form with my dear husband, Tom. Our dream was to open an antique business once we both retired from our “real” jobs of teaching (my husband) and Air Force Nursing (me). My husband retired to heaven in 2014 but I saw no reason to abandon this goal and opened the shop on August 15, 2017. So here I am, in Lebanon IL, living the dream as an antique shop owner and loving the thrill of the hunt and the heartache of selling the things I love...well really that is a joy as well, but I miss each piece as it goes out the door. In May 2018 the shop moved from it’s original location in an eleven year old building with 900 square feet to a vintage building three doors west on the same, beautiful brick street. It is twice the size of our former location, has high ceilings that showcase the big pieces well, and has two stunning windows to display antiques. Stop by any Wednesday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm, have a chat, and take home your own treasure. Maybe this will be the start of your own obsession!
